We are always looking to embrace technology that helps our clients to be more successful. Print is powerful, but it is only one piece of the puzzle. Another piece is online media and in QR codes we have found a tool that creates a bridge between the two. Imagine handing someone your printed brochure and by simply scanning the QR code beside a product photo they are taken to a video of your product. Imagine scanning the QR code on the bottle of wine, and being taken to a website that gives you ideas on what food to best pair it with. These are just a few examples... the possibilities are endless. That's the power of QR codes.

A QR code is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by dedicated QR barcode readers and camera phones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be text, a website link or other data such as a vCard. Common in Japan, where it was created by Toyota subsidiary Denso-Wave in 1994, the QR code is one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes. QR is the abbreviation for Quick Response, as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed. The technology has seen a large uptake in Japan and South Korea and is now becoming inceasingly popular here as well.
